Can Atrial Fibrillation symptoms be detected?

AF symptoms are difficult to identify accurately. Although doctors diagnose this disease in only one per cent of people, the chance of an attack is high in people over 65 years of age. If the disease is not detected early, the effects will increase. It is also important to know how to diagnose the disease early to avoid massive complications such as stroke.

When to consult a doctor?

Many of us find it difficult to go to the hospital. The disease is caused by an irregularity in the heart rhythm. This is known as AF. The disease affects different people in different ways. The key is to determine what’s unusual for you and commit to having any chest or heart discomfort checked out right away.

4 factors that can cause massive problems

In the early stages of the disease, there may be no significant changes in our body. But when the disease increases, many abnormalities occur in the heart. It starts as a little random flutter could soon become more frequent, and intermittent (or paroxysmal) AFib could become persistent or permanent AFib.

Chest pain may be a good indication of something wrong in the heart. But chest pain is not the only symptom when it comes to atrial fibrillation.

Other symptoms to look out for are

A Racing Heartbeat

Ever feel like your heart is about to jump out of your chest? This sensation can be normal when you are frightened or excited. But this is more than a physiological reaction.

When your heart is in fibrillation, too many electrical signals are sent into your atria, competing to get through the AV node the gateway to your heart’s lower ventricles. This disturbance in the electrical signals increases the heart rate or makes the pulse irregular.

A fluttering sensation

It is the feeling that your heart has just skipped one of its beats. Heart palpitations are common. However, when abnormal palpitations persist, your heart could be in AFib.

Fatigue and exhaustion

When the heart is not functioning efficiently, it can’t deliver an adequate amount of oxygenated blood to your tissues. when your body isn’t getting the oxygen it needs, fatigue, weakness, and lethargy are common consequences.

Tightness in the chest

Many factors can cause a tight feeling in the heart. Although this is considered a heartburn it usually does not cause massive damage. AF condition can also cause a feeling of tightness in the chest. You may start to feel mild shortness of breath for no reason. Maybe activities that were once easy for you are now strenuous. Your energy level will be lower than your peers.

Is it really AF?

AF symptoms are notoriously varied. When you say you feel chest tightness someone else will say they have it too. But you may feel a sudden palpitation but another person may have felt a little. Many symptoms vary from person to person.

Acid Reflux

Moving acid in the stomach over the esophagus can indicate heartburn. It causes a burning sensation and sometimes it causes pain. Some people have mistaken a severe case of heartburn for a heart attack.

Hyperthyroidism

Hyperthyroidism can cause shortness of breath and increased heart rate when the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone. This can lead to a uncomfortable feelings.

A Panic Attack

Feelings of fear and anxiety can occur suddenly. It affects the whole body during the secretion of the hormone adrenaline. sometimes bringing on painful or tight sensations in the chestThe heart may feel palpitations or light.

Other heart disorders

How to diagnose AF?

It’s more about the set of symptoms rather than one single discomfort. Sudden onset symptoms can be a big problem. AF Symptoms can be observed cyclically. There may be no symptoms for a while.

ECG / EKG can be used to evaluate  heart rhythm and diagnose AF. Sensors can usually detect abnormalities in the heartbeat of those who show frequent symptoms. Paraxymal AF usually causes unpredictable and rare symptoms. In these cases it is advisable to perform the tests as prescribed by the doctor. There are other tests that may not be able to diagnose thoracic atrial fibrillation during the first test. Explaining the symptoms clearly and completely to your doctor will help them to diagnose the condition and easily identify the treatment.
